The only existing museum on the area of still-working oil refinery. It is formed of a dozen of the 19th century structures both under and on the surface of the ground. The history of oil lamp encapsulated in one place.

The museum is a big complex of structures from Ignacy Łukasiewicz times. Almost all of local exhibits come from the 19th century. Here you will find hand-sunk oil wells, 50 and 132 metres deep (both deepened to 150 and 250 metres), an obelisk from 1872 and a wooden mechanic workshop.

Among other buildings are: Administration Building (so called Łukasiewicz’s House), wooden smithy with old tools, restored hand-operated drilling rig. Boiler room, drilling rigs, old pumps and compressors, sets of tools, forest paths and many other objects bring back the atmosphere of those years.
